The Care Guidelines mentioned below were developed and formatted, with accurate preciseness, by our factory according to the requested product’s material, to help ensure the best maintenance, and elongation of the product’s lifespan.
Please adhere to the following pointers:
Rattan Furniture:
The construction techniques used for rattan furniture leaves hollowed spaces that can collect dust and dirt.
- The furniture should be dusted or vacuumed with an upholstery brush weekly.
- A more thorough damp cleaning should be done monthly and any food, drink, or mud stains should be cleaned away immediately.
- At least once a year, inspect the furniture for splits in the fibers and mold and mildew growth.
- All Weather rattan furniture may be kept outdoors all year round. If you wish to maintain its new-look appearance longer, we recommend the furniture is stored inside a cool dry place such as a shed or outbuilding during poor weather and winter months. Or alternately use a furniture protective cover when the items are not in use.
- Do not drop furniture onto corners or feet, or lean backwards on two legs as this will weaken and damage frames, feet or legs.
- We do not recommend locating products in excessively high or low temperatures, or where the environment is often damp as this may cause product issues.
Avoid excessive exposure to water or sun to prolong the life of the product.
- Avoid contact with chemicals such as hair and skin preparations, fake tans, insect repellents and other cosmetics, or household cleaning materials, other than those recommended as these may affect the finish.
Cleaning Instructions:
- To maintain the appearance of your product we recommend regular dusting with a soft cloth. It may occasionally be wiped with a soft cloth very lightly dampened with a mild bleach free detergent solution and dried with a soft cloth.
- If spills occur, blot immediately with a dry cotton cloth (if you use paper towels make sure that they are white to avoid any color transferring to the fabric). Avoid soaking the fabric as this may reduce the efficacy of the water-resistant finish. If blotting with a dry cloth doesn't quite finish the job and the stain is still visible, professional cleaning is advised.
- Pieces of food and debris can sometimes get caught down the side or underneath removable surfaces such as glass tops on items like dining and coffee tables. Items like these must be disassembled and all surfaces wiped with a soft cloth very lightly dampened with a mild bleach free detergent solution and dried with a soft cloth.
- Cushion covers are not suitable for machine washing or dry cleaning; they should be cleaned by hand. Avoid the use of soap or detergents, cleaning fluids or insecticides as they may damage the finish. It is important to pre-test for color fastness and fabric compatibility in a hidden area before using any product.
Wood Furniture:
- Your wood furniture can be damaged by moisture and heat. We recommend always protecting your furniture by using trivets or coasters to prevent moisture from accumulating on the surface, which is called a “cloud.” Always be sure to wipe up moisture promptly with a soft, clean, and dry cloth.
- Wood will expand and contract with seasonal humidity changes, which may result in warping. Try to maintain consistent humidity levels to prevent your wood furniture from warping.
- Air and sunlight will change the color of natural wood over time. Occasionally rotate the items on your table to maintain a consistent color throughout its surface. If your table has leaves, be sure to expose them to the same amount of sunlight to ensure your table’s color is consistent.
- Sharp objects can damage your wooden furniture. Be sure to avoid dragging any sharp object across your solid wood surface. Protecting your Furniture from sharp objects can easily be managed with the use of placemats, runners, coasters, and/or trivets.
- Wood care varies by finish technique. Be sure to care for your wood furniture according to its finish.
- Avoid excessive exposure to water or sun to prolong the life of the product.
- Avoid contact with chemicals such as hair and skin preparations, fake tans, insect repellents and other cosmetics, or household cleaning materials, other than those recommended as these may affect the finish.
Cleaning Instructions:
- Use a soft damp cloth that is clean. Be sure to wipe dry.
- A table that has a lacquer, paint, or stain on the wood’s surface is susceptible to dents and scratches. The use of trivets, coasters, placemats, and felt pads are recommended to protect your furniture.
- A soft cloth and a solution of water and a mild detergent will help get rid of any persistent spots. Be sure to wipe gently and always wipe dry.
- Cleaning products containing alcohol, petroleum, or ammonia are not recommended.
We do not recommend using a finish polish, as this can accumulate over time, leaving a residue.
To prevent harsh stains from absorbing into the grain of the wood, always use coasters, trivets, or placemats.
- Treat your furniture twice a year with a natural wax or when the wood seems dry. Apply the wax with a clean white cloth and be sure to follow the direction of the wood grain. Using another cloth, buff the excess wax and reveal the smooth finish.

Items like these must be disassembled and all surfaces wiped with a soft cloth very lightly dampened with a mild bleach free detergent solution and dried with a soft cloth.

Metal Furniture:
- Consider covering your furniture when not in use for long periods of time (and during bouts of inclement weather). Even if it can stand up to the elements, this will extend its life and make cleaning easier after the outdoor season begins again. And, use breathable covers to avoid creating a mold incubator.
- Sharp objects can damage your metal furniture. Be sure to avoid dragging any sharp object across your solid metal surface. Protecting your furniture from sharp objects can easily be managed with the use of placemats, runners, coasters, and/or trivets.
- Metal furniture is best cleaned with a cloth or sponge using water and mild, non-detergent soap and wiped dry.
- Abrasive scrubbers or cleaners should not be used as they can scratch the finish, potentially exposing the metal to rust-inducing moisture.
- For ingrained dirt, use window cleaner or a non-abrasive multi-purpose cleaner.
- When cleaning keep an eye out for scratches or any signs of rust, especially at furniture joints.
- Apply touch-up paint to scratches to prevent rust.
- If rust or mold is present, sand the area lightly using fine-grit sandpaper and apply rust-proof touch-up paint.
